Thematic units are a great way to take mandated standards and ciriculum and organize them around a specific theme or topic. This is an example of a thematic unit I created using 3rd grade TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills). Each lesson covers the grade level standard listed and incorporates a super hero theme in the activities, instruction, or assessment. Click on the boxes below to see the corresponding lesson.
