Katie Jenkins

TAFE is the Texas Association for Future Educators. It is a student organization whose main purpose is to allow student to explore the teaching profession. I was a member of TAFE for two years in high school. Our chapter advisor encouraged us to participate in the state and national competitions. This is my entry for the Lesson Plan competition.

 

Here is an overview of the competition and submission requirements:

"This competition is an individual event where future educators will plan, prepare and deliver a lesson of their choosing to an actual classroom of students. Self-reflection following the lesson is an essential component of this competition as future educators begin the practice of honing their own teaching skills. Participants will prepare a lesson plan and a 10 minute video teaching the lesson to a class." (Donita Garza- Competitive Events ppt.)
