My Goals
My overall career goal is to be a teacher. I hope that after attending Auburn University, I will be able to impact the lives of children just as my teachers have impacted me. I want to transform my passion into my profession and bring the family-like atmosphere of Auburn into a classroom of my own as I am given the opportunity to influence kids and provide them with necessary tools and skills for their future.
Short term Goals:

complete my masters program at Auburn in the ESOL program
Long-term Goals:

Get a job in a school district teaching in an elementary classroom.

Develop relationships with colleagues, families, and students in the area in which I teach and make an impact in the community through the lives of my students.

Pursue my PhD in education from Auburn University.

I'm Katie, a recent Auburn grad (War Eagle!) and an aspiring teacher. I am a current graduate student at Auburn University in the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. This past May I received my B.S. in elementary education and a minor in human development and family studies.
​I currently live in Auburn Alabama, but I am from Prosper TX. When I'm not practicing with the University Marching Band, you'll find me spending time with my friends and family, and volunteering with children, both at school and in church. I value my close relationships with friends and family and love to be active and busy.
